Diakonhjemmet Sykehus is a private, non-commercial and publicly-funded diaconal hospital that offers treatment and care at the specialist health service level. The hospital is owned by the Norwegian Diakonhjem Foundation and has an agreement with Health South-East to take care of the local hospital function for three districts west of Oslo. There are about 1,530 employees at the hospital.
