We recently welcomed William Magnor to the team as Technical Manager, so it’s about time we talk to him about his background and #purefuture ideas, and – of course – how he drinks his water.
Can you tell us more about your new role at PURE WATER?
“I stepped into the role of Technical Manager just before summer. My role is within the management team, and I focus on ensuring our product portfolio evolves towards our PURE FUTURE vision. I’m currently working on our PUREinnovation product strategy to help us do just that. To make a long story short, my goal is to make sure that every development in our product portfolio has a specific goal in mind – whether that is making our customers happier, relieving our technicians of stress, or making the world a slightly better place.”
What do you like most about being part of the #purefuture movement?
“It’s great to have a close connection with the products we deliver, knowing that they have tangible benefits for our customers, and trying to use empathy as well as engineering experience to improve our products. In the end, it’s about human beings using and benefiting from our products. What I also enjoy a lot is working closely with all our different functions, such as BAMs, finance people and technicians, seeing our business from many different points of view. Not to mention that I genuinely enjoy working alongside these people on a personal level.
Besides… having worked in the oil and gas industry for quite a while, it was about time to help change the world for the better.”
What’s your background in?
“I have a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or more specifically Product Development and Materials Science. Having worked for many large companies in the Norwegian petroleum industry, I’ve done my fair share of delivering existing products, improving them or developing new ones. I only just started, and I really look forward to putting that experience into further use here at PURE WATER!”
Where can we find you on a day off?
“Either at the gym lifting weights, out in the sun taking a swim on a hot day or riding my motorbike. I enjoy books more than Netflix and love alpine skiing in the winter time.”
How do you drink your water?
“As sparkling as possible.”
