Gambit Hill + Knowlton

Hill & Knowlton is the world’s oldest PR agency, listed in the US and UK. It is owned by the British WPP Group. The company was founded by journalist John F. Hill of Cleveland, Ohio in 1927, and was established in New York by Hill and the Donald Knowlton Bank in the 1930s. Hill + Knowlton Strategies has 83 offices in 40 countries. In Norway, Hill + Knowlton has operations under the name of Gambit Hill + Knowlton, with offices in the City Hall’s courtyard in Oslo and about 75 employees. The PR agency Gambit was started by Lars Erik Grønntun, Frank Rossavik and Odd-Magnar Brubæk in autumn 1994 / winter 1995. The company was acquired by WPP and Hill & Knowlton on August 2002.
