Meet the PUREteam – Emir Sunay, Head of Operations

Emir from PURE WATER

We’re excited to introduce you to Emir Sunay, Head of Operations at PURE WATER. He recently started in his new role, and we’ll ask him about the #purefuture, his experience and – of course – how he drinks his water.

Can you tell us more about your new role at PURE WATER?

“First and foremost, it is a very exciting role. I get to use all aspects of my knowledge to help promote a healthy lifestyle through PURE WATER. In my new role, I am responsible for the operations in PURE WATER cross market and ensure an efficient operation so that we can offer a #purefuture to even more people.

I still have a lot to learn though and I have to familiarize myself with operations in three different countries. I’m most looking forward to working more closely with good colleagues in the countries we operate in, and getting to know our subcontractors and partners.”

What do you like most about being part of the #purefuture movement?

“What I like most about the #purefuture movement … Well, it’s not a myth that the world is changing. Some good but also some bad changes. PURE WATER’s #purefuture may not be the solution to all of our challenges, but it is a step in the right direction. I just it exciting to be part of the PURE FUTURE and offer a great product that benefits everyone.”

Can you tell us more about your background?

“I usually say that I was born and raised in a grocery store. Although that is not entirely true, I have my background from grocery and FMCG. For the last 4-5 years I have worked with sales. In other words, a lot of logistics, sales and customer service. That’s also why I thought this role was exciting. It’s a mix of all three.”

Where can we find you on a day off?

“If it’s hunting season, you’ll find me as far away from the city as possible. Then I’m most likely in a forest and enjoying nature. The rest of the year there are some fishing trips, being with family, travel and I play squash.”

How do you drink your water?

“I love water. During the day I drink a lot of still water, but I drink sparkling water for dinner. I am a Turk and have to have my daily dose of tea, so the water should be hot. In other words, I want it all :)”
